Why blog?

Why do we blog? Why do we share our thoughts and feelings with anyone who's around to read.. sometimes friends, sometimes strangers? Is it because of a lack of 'real people' to sit and talk to.. or is it because it's easier to just sit and type, rather than looking someone in the eye?

For me, it's partly a way to share some feelings with a few friends who will hopefully find there way here, it's partly the fact that I love to write, and this is one way of doing that. But mainly, it's an outlet.. I can talk about what's going on with me, and what's going on in my head.. I can get emotional, or I can rant about something that's annoying me. And when I do, it'll either be read by the friends I can trust it with.. or by complete strangers who don't know who the heck I am!

So that of course leads on to.. why do we read blogs? If my friends have blogs, then sometimes it's a way to keep up with them when they don't have time for emails. But many of the blogs I read are of people I don't really know, and somehow it's fascinating to take a little peek into their world.. and sometimes they're going through things you can associate with.

So.. if you're reading.. why are you here?! :-)
