Are you a morning person?

I, most definitely, am not one of the cheerful 'morning people'. My hubby does pretty well, and my eldest is full of energy the moment she jumps out of bed. I, on the other hand, hate mornings.

I have my alarm set to the radio, as I think the grating 'buzz buzz' is an inhuman way to be woken up! However, as I gradually come round, I tell myself that I'll just listen to the news.. then the weather.. then the traffic... The next thing I know, they've all been and gone, we're on at least the second song.. and I'm late!

I then drag myself to the bathroom, trying desperately to get my eyes to open up. I dread hearing my daughter saying 'mum...', because I know she'll be rewarded with a growling 'what?'! I then go through my bathroom routines, just knowing that I'm not going to feel any more awake all day, and how on earth am I supposed to get through it?

Of course I gradually wake up more and more, and half an hour later I'm usually found yelling at the girls to GET DRESSED for the 20th time. Then it's out to the car, to get Beth to school, and to face another day.

Oh, btw.. over recent weeks my morning has developed a rather nice touch. For some reason, hubby has decided I need tea.. and there's always a cup waiting for me when I arrive downstairs! Bless him! :)

I'm not really a morning person either, but I'd rather start early & get home sooner than start late & come home even later, so I get up & go to work anyway. And on the weekends I seldom get much of a lie-in either, due to benig run off my feet with various things, but I get headaches if I stay in bed too long anyway.

I also have general time-freakery & cock-induced panic. I always think I'm giong to be late for things & I can't stand even the THOUGHT of that happening, so I set the alarm clock early & still get up at what would seem to be the right time (according to the alarm clock) but is actually early. I'm too much close to still being asleep in the mornings to remember it's fast - LOL!

LOL great spelling! I didn't like to think what it meant the first time I read it! Certainly made me think I must have good mornings compared to that!
